HOW CAN I JOIN WYONG NEIGHBOURHOOD CENTRE?
You can join Wyong Neighbourhood Centre Inc. by visiting our reception in Building 2 and paying $6 (unwaged) or $10 (waged) per year membership. With your membership, you could nominate yourself or another member to become a member of the Board of Management (Board), raise and vote on issues of concern and have a say in the future of WNC.

WHERE IS WNC AND HOW DO I GET THERE?
Wyong Neighbourhood Centre is located in Building 2, 8 Rankens Court, Wyong NSW 2259.

Turn into Alison Rd at the traffic lights on the Pacific Hwy.

Turn left into Rankens Court and travel to the top of the hill.

Our driveway is on the right and there is plenty of parking onsite in the grounds of the Old School.

WE'RE SEARCHING FOR VOLUNTEERS, PLEASE JOIN US!
Volunteering is a fantastic way to meet people, make friends, develop new skills, build a work experience base and meet your Centrelink, Work-for-the-Dole requirements or pay off SDRO fines.
We are looking for:

Free-will volunteers - those who wish to volunteer just to give back

Centrelink volunteers - those with a mutual obligation requirement

Work-for-the-Dole participants - contact your Job Active Provider

Work Development Order participants - volunteer to pay off fines ($30 per hour)

Students - High School, Cert 4 and Diploma, University
We have several areas and projects open to volunteers:

Reception/Office Administration

Gardening/Outdoor Maintenance

Second-Bite/Community Pantry

Fundraising Team

Promotions/Marketing Team

Cleaning/Indoor Maintenance

Be Connected Tutor - Computer Training for Seniors

Program Facilitators - Homework Hub, Bringing Up Great Kids, Food-Redi, Money Minded etc
Application Process:
Monday to Friday
9am to 5pm
(Except Public Holidays and
occasional staff training and
development days)
Contact Volunteering Central Coast 02 4329 7122. They will assess you against the criteria of our roles and recommend you for a role that will be just right for you.

We will arrange an interview/induction.
You will need to fill out some forms and sign some policy agreements.
You'll also need to provide a Working With Children Check clearance. This is FREE from here.
A Police Check may be required. We can arrange the check at a cost of $30. If you will find the cost of the Police Check prohibitive, please let us know.
Once your application has been processed, you will be placed in a role that is mutually acceptable, on an up to 6 month trial period with regular review.
