PROGRAM DETAILS

Phoenix Youth Support Service is a youth service for young people aged 12 to 18 and their families.

Our qualified team of youth workers provide support, advocacy, advice and referral, as well as fun, helpful activities, programs, and opportunities to help empower young people to reach their potential and live fulfilling lives.

If you are or a young person you know is under 12 or over 18, you can still contact us and we'll try help where we can.

WHAT WE DO

INDIVIDUAL, ONE-TO-ONE SUPPORT

We provide individualised, strengths-based, person-centered case management / mentoring, assisting young people aged 12 to 18 with issues such as accommodation, school and education, employment, relationships, health, self-esteem, legal support, Centrelink, advocacy, and emotional management (including anger management).

GROUPS & EVENTS

We run groups, activities, and events that help young people learn new things, develop helpful life skills, meet new people, express their creativity, and send a positive message to the community about young people.

Our afternoon groups at the Phoenix Youth Hub run Thursday and Friday during the school term from 3:30pm to 5pm.

We also facilitate activities during school holidays and provide services and offer support to school students at schools.

Our events and groups are announced on:

  • the website events page

  • Facebook

  • Instagram

  • our text message and email mailing list. We send out between 1 to 5 updates each term. Call us, or message us on social media or email if you want to subscribe

Subscribing to one of those will get you updates about everything we do, though some projects have separate social media pages for more specific information:

We accept referrals:

  • From young people, parents and carers, and other services

  • Over the phone, or in-person during office hours

We're available from Monday to Friday during the weeks (not on public holidays), though sometimes we do outreach work and aren't always in the office, or may be busy with other clients. The best way to ensure we have time to see you is to schedule an appointment.
